TWO GREAT RUGBY LEGENDS

Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield, the former Leeds Rhinos and England team-mates who had previously been awarded MBEs and in Sinfield's case also an OBE, have been further recognised for their tireless and inspirational work to support the Motor Neurone Disease, have now both received CBEs.  Rob was diagnosed with MND in 2019, just two years after retiring from a 17 year rugby league career and sadly passed away 2nd June 2024.

Analysis: Kevin's shirt has 777, representing just one of the many epic challenges he has set himself.  The 7 in 7 in 7 Challenge saw Kevin and his team run an ultra marathon every day for seven days in seven cities around Great Britain and Ireland.  The book "With You Every Step" they have written together, encapsulating their friendship as lessons for others in a celebration of love.

I hope this portrait shows their wonderful relationship and determination in tackling the Motor Neuron Disease together.
