It’s all about “make-up”.  Each subject has their own “make-up” which forms their character.  I create a picture with an imaginary pallet the ingredients (or colours) are sections of their life, mainly basing the picture on the prime ingredient – why they have become a legend.  The subsidiary ingredients are other parts of their lives which have become known to the public.
